Some DLP modules establish connections to external servers using Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS). The HTTPS connection is refused if the SSL certificate is issued from a Certificate Authority (CA) that is not installed in the ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) Trusted Root Certificate Authorities store.
An SSL Certificate exception error message occurs each time the connection is tried.
ePO does not support adding self-signed certificates to its Trusted Root Certificate Authorities store. To solve the SSL error:
- Export the SSL certificate using any browser.
- Install the exported SSL certificate into the DLP Trusted Root Certificates Authorities store.
The attached document explains how to perform both tasks and install a self-signed SSL TLS certificate in the DLP Trusted Root Certificate Authorities store.
