McAfee Management of Native Encryption 1910 for MVISION ePO
McAfee Management of Native Encryption (MNE) 4.x

Summary

MNE supports migration from an on-premises ePO Server to MNE 1910 for MVISION ePO.

Problem

You are unable to save the MNE policy within MVISION ePO after you edit it.

You see this issue after you migrate a system managed by an MNE 4.x administrator extension to the MNE for MVISION ePO extension.

Cause

MNE 1910 for MVISION ePO adds more policy options that are not available in the MNE 4.x administrator extension.

Solution

The issue is resolved with MNE 1910 Update 1 for MVISION ePO.

Workaround

Upgrade your on-premises version of the MNE administrator extension to version 5.x before you perform the migration.

NOTE: Duplicate the policy that has been assigned to the migrated system when both the following apply:

A system has already been migrated.
And
The system Is managed by MVISION ePO.

This workaround updates the policy with the latest policy options, which allows you to edit and save the policy.
