Problem

A new installation of ENS 10.6.1 May 2020 Update or earlier fails to update the AMCore content to release 3961 or 3966.

Cause

With AMCore content release 3961 and 3966, a change to the McAfee Agent updating components causes older ENS installation packages to no longer trust the content update.

Solution

This issue is resolved in AMCore content 3967 released on January 30, 2020. AMCore content 3967 reverts the change that triggered this issue.

Workaround

Deploy AMCore content 3961 or 3966 using the executable package to update the certificates needed to restore normal update functionality.
