Environment

Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) 4.8.x, 4.7.x

Problem

When a user tries to log in and enters the password, the following GUI error displays:

Warning! Someone else has already updated the object, please retry with the new details.

System Change

Using SQL 2016 and later versions requires updated compatibility settings.

Cause

The compatibility settings in SQL 2016 and later versions aren't updated.

Solution

To update the compatibility settings for SQL 2016 and later versions, follow below steps:

Check and confirm the version of the database.
Enable the compatibility by setting the MSSQL 2016 or 2017 compatibility level to SQL 2014 as shown below:
1. Open a command-line session.
2. Log on to the MSSQL 2016 or 2017 command line.
3. Run the following command, and then press Enter:
  ALTER DATABASE SNTRSRV SET COMPATIBILITY_LEVEL = 120;
