For single sensor:
When you add the Sensor to the manager, records are added to the iv_sensor table.
After first successful
sigfile push to that Sensor, the config_flags in the iv_sensor table are updated to 801. If the first
sigfile, push from NSM to the Sensor fails, the config_flags are set to 901 and retry started.
If the first sigfile push is successful, config_flags is set to 801. If the
sigfile push fails in the future on this Sensor, config_flags isn’t set 901.
As there’s no change, there’s no retry.
Failover pair sensors:
This behavior is different for a failover pair. For Sensors in failover pair, the config_flag in the iv_sensor table is set to 901. The push is therefore continuously retried.
This behavior is according to design.
To modify this behavior, open a Service Request with Technical Support and request a remote session to make the changes.
