This article explains the maximum DBMS activity load that the Database Security Sensor takes to process without undue latency, while monitoring MySQL.
Guidance:
Consider this reference configuration:
- One Database Security Sensor installed (with associated McAfee audit plugin for MySQL configured).
- One Database Security Sensor running MySQL DBMS instance being monitored.
The
Database Security Sensor is expected to perform without imparting significant latency on SQL command operations, up to a level of 2000 queries per second (QPS).
The
Database Security Sensor can handle up to 2400 QPS for a limited duration. It is recommended to avoid exceeding 2000 QPS, if SQL command latency is a primary concern.
