For systems that are unmanaged and running ENS standalone:
Option 1 - Multiple standalone clients:
If you have many standalone clients to remediate, we have a tool that you can use to make remediating standalone agents easier. Create a Service Request (SR) if you need this tool, and reference this article number.
- If you are a registered user, type your User ID and Password, and then click Log In.
- If you are not a registered user, click Register and complete the fields. Your password and instructions are emailed to you.
Option 2 - Single standalone client:
- Download the latest McAfee Agent package. For example, MA573WIN.zip.
- Extract the package to a temporary folder.
- Copy the framepkg_upd.exe file to a problem system.
- Remove the existing framepkg_upd.exe components using the command below:
framepkg_upd.exe /forceuninstall
Wait for the component to be removed.
- Open a command prompt as an administrator and run the framepkg_upd.exe:
- Press the Windows key+R.
- In the Start Search field, type cmd, and then press Ctrl+Shift+Enter.
- If the User Account Control dialog box appears, confirm that the action it displays is what you want, and then click Continue.
- Go to the temporary folder where you copied framepkg_upd.exe.
- Execute the command:
framepkg_upd.exe
