In July of 2015, Microsoft announced the end of extended support for Windows Server 2003. For details, see the
Microsoft Lifecycle page.
McAfee Enterprise support policy for Enterprise Products on Windows 2003
For a limited time, McAfee Enterprise provides extended support for Windows 2003. The support is provided as long as it’s technically and commercially reasonable for McAfee Enterprise to do so, and there’s no external dependency. For example, if a McAfee Enterprise product requires Microsoft to provide a fix and Microsoft doesn’t provide the fix, then McAfee Enterprise can't support the product any longer.
NOTE: Future releases of Enterprise Products that are released after July of 2015, might not support Windows 2003.
Extended support period for Enterprise Endpoint Products
Standard support for Enterprise Endpoint Products continues according to the following table. You can purchase a Custom Software Support Agreement after the end of standard support, for one year.
NOTES:
- If the McAfee Enterprise product is End of Life (EOL) before the date shown, Windows 2003 support also ends on the product EOL date.
- EOL period—The time frame that runs from the day we announce product discontinuation, until the last date that we formally support the product. In general, after the EOL period is announced, no enhancements are made.
- EOL date—The last day that the product is supported, according to the terms of our standard support offering.
- You might be required to update to the latest supported patch and Anti-Malware Scan Engine throughout the supported lifecycle.
