Summary
BluStealer contains multiple functionalities and uses malspam campaigns to spread to unsuspecting victims. The initial infection vector consists of malicious emails that contain an .iso attachment and download URLs that appear to be sent from legitimate sources. The malware performs many anti-vm checks and stops executing if any of the conditions are found. Stolen credentials, system information, browser cookies, files, screenshots, keystrokes, and clipboard data are exfiltrated using SMTP and Telegram Bot.
The McAfee Enterprise ATR Team gathers and analyzes information from multiple open and closed sources before disseminating intelligence reports. This campaign was researched by Avast and shared publicly here.
