ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) 5.10.x

Summary

Background details

In ePO, it’s possible to deploy the agent from the ePO server, or an Agent Handler to client system. This method is known as pushing the agent, or a push install.
The process requires you to provide the credentials for an account with administrator rights on the client system.

Problem

Deployment of the agent fails when the password for this account is more than 32 characters long.

The deployment fails, even if you enter the correct password.

Cause

ePO currently limits the maximum length of the password to 32 characters.

Solution

Technical Support is investigating this issue. As a temporary measure, implement the following workaround.

Shorten the install password to fewer than 32 characters.
