Summary
Description of Campaign Threat actors are delivering the Vidar information stealer in an email phishing campaign that has an .iso file that's disguised as a document file. The document is a compressed iso file that contains a Windows help file and an executable that's the Vidar information stealer. The malware attempts to detect sandbox and VM dlls to evade analysis. If successfully executed, the malware retrieves dependencies from the threat actors C2. The malware also has the capabilities to download additional malware as well as delete artifacts of the malware infection. Our ATR Team gathers and analyzes information from multiple open and closed sources before disseminating intelligence reports. This campaign was researched by Trustwave and shared publicly.
