Network Security Platform 9.2 Update Release is now available. 
  • Network Security Manager Software 9.2.7.31
  • Network Security Sensor Software 9.2.5.72 (NS-Series)
  • Network Security Virtual IPS Software 9.2.7.26 (VM-600)
This release includes new features, fixes, and enhancements including:
  • McAfee Linux Operating System (MLOS) based 9.2 NSM and NSCM, both on the appliance and as a virtual machine.   
  • Migration from Windows-based NSM to Linux NSM is supported.
  • Introduces dynamic compilation of signature set based on priority attribute to optimize sensor resources. 
  • NSP integration with ePO 5.10.0 is also supported.
Enhancements
  • Test compilation of custom attacks
  • Unique Authoritative Engine ID for SNMP trap enhancement
  • Manager log enhancements
  • IPS CLI Enhancements
NOTE: 
  • Sensors running 8.1 and 8.3 are not supported by Linux based manager version 9.2.7.31.
  • Upgrade to 9.2.5.10 sensor build is a pre-requisite for sensors on 8.1 and 8.3, before upgrading to this release.
  • All Manager versions below 9.1.7.75 must upgrade to 9.1.7.75 before upgrading to the latest 9.2 Manager version.
